won't start

I have a 1987 cutlass supreme, it was runing okay. then two weeks ago i was driving it and it sounded like it was getting any gas,and it stalled. I checked fuel filter and everything. It trys to start but can't. Gas shoots out of carb.

Sounds like it jumped time, do a compression test for starters. Try to remember to post which engine.

The olds cutlass I have is a 1987 the engine is a v6 3.8 liter
