I HAVE a 90 DX and it a hatchback. If i but intake headers and other mods will it sound shitty? Or should I just do an engone swap?

you can do a mpfi conversion, thats the best thing you can do to a dx, the intake header and exhaust will just make it loud (depending on what you get) all that will do is maybe ...5hp...lol the dpfi system you have now sucks. but sound..i cant really tell you...when you get exhaust make sure is has a resonator and a good mufler... it shouldnt be bad at all(just dont get an open muffler you can look through...lol)

Yea do the mpfi conversion. You gain power but you do lose a little gas milage. I noticed the difference that i got from it and it made my intake real loud but my car still isnt all that quick. You should just do the mpfi conversion and then just save up for a motor.

i was running my dpfi with an intake and no muffler. wasnt loud at all, sounded like a car with a good deep tone exhaust, not one of those $5 mufflers that get annoying loud and raspy

i tryed that...lol it sounds like a dump truck...lol like any time you put any kind of load on the motor ir growls...lol but like slipknotcraig133 said you can do the conversion and save some money for say...an LS swap that way you already have the wiring to just plug it in...but you will still need the mounts axels and shift linkage...and the ecu you want to run for mpfi (PM6)
