My 98 Jimmy has a humming noise comming from the front right wheel. Can someone give me some instructions as well as tools I'll need to replace the wheel hub?

Hello 98..I would suggest getting a haynes manual or search through this forum. There are some how to's listed through out this forum. One of the tools you will definately need is a 36 mm socket for the axle nut to release the hub...Good Luck

I did that job last year. You can borrow the a hub socket set from any autozone or larger auto parts store. You will also need a 3-jawed chuck after all the bolts have been removed to pullthe hub off the spline. Good luck

Nah... Simply run the nut up flush to the top of the axel and whack it a couple of times with a hammer..(don't worry, the threads will be fine)...

Then when you remove the 3 18mm bolts on the back of the knuckle, simply use a hammer tapping repeatedly on each side evenly (whack twice, go opposite end whack twice again, repeat as needed) the hub assembly will start to seperate from the knuckle...
