I have around 200,000 miles on my truck its a 350. My question is when did you guys decide to have it rebuilded, did it seize, use way to much oil if so how much, loss of power, wouldn't start etc. THANKS FOR RESPONSES

Loss of power, burned oil enough to see it most of the time (blue smoke),diesel after shut off , idle rough, sounds bad (knocking) etc. Sometimes it pays to rebuild an engine with that many miles than to repair it.

I am going to rebuild mine (I'm building a `63 283ci sbc to put in right know) because it smokes alot, has lost alot of power lately, and has really REALLY low oil pressure!

Thanks for the replys I like i said it has 200,000 miles oil pressure cold is 55 psi. It really doesn't get hot i made the mistake of putting a 160 thermostat in but its at about 30 idling 45crusing do these numbers sound right. Still has PLENTY of power smog pump bypassed Does use oil and under extremely hard acceleration it does smoke

wow 30 idling must be nice. I have 6psi when I idle in gear!!!! 30 at cold start up an 20 crusing down the road. My truck has 152k on the clock!

208 thousand, still runes perfect... Rule of thumb for oil pressure is, 10psi for every thousand RPMs.
