Does anyone know what the spark plug gap on a 92 Ranger with the 4.0L V6 is?

Thanks, but I guess I'll just have to place a call to my local dealer and find out for sure Monday morning. The reason why is because Autozone, Advance, and O'rielly's Auto part stores have all told me the gap is .054 and here online at the 2guysgarge website they said the gap should be .035 and the truck has a differnet front end that came off of a truck with the 2.3L Rangers so I do not have an under the hood sticker, nor do I have an owners manual. I just bought the truck about a week ago, and the plugs in there are gapped at .044, however I have had some problems with the truck, such as a little rough idle, cutting out, and sometimes dying, which I have been there since I bought the truck, and I know one of the causes could be wrongly gapped plugs, but not nessicarily, so with all the different gaps I have been given, I think I'd be better off contacting a ford dealer, since your chiltons manual is even giving a different gap than anyone else. Thanks for the Reply though.

gap between what they told you should not be that bad where it stalls. I wwould look at other issues. if you think it is, next time you pull out plugs, try and reference the color and wear to the chart at the back of the haynes manual to give you a better idea. try checking fuel flow volume and pressure just to rule that part out.
