Standalone Systems

So I have decided to build up the 88 as a turbo, was wondering about Standalone systems, who's good, who to stay away from that kind of deal.

Stay away from Power FC units. There nice, but not great.

Haltech, MoTec, Wolf, AEM EMS is not to bad on a rotary, but i would try for the first 3 before AEM.

What's wrong with AEM for rotary? I know a guy that's running a 350z with all AEM parts and is pushing 500hp at the wheels

Im just not a fan of there tuning system. There parts are fine, but i regard them as being ins the same catagory as APC and stuff like that. There not a true tuner companie, there just there for the ride while the times are good.

im looking at a microtech myself

Well I think I will look into a wolf system for my car then, see how that works out for me... What's a good modle to go with? or is there really only one for the FC's?

Microtech is not very good for FC's. I have had it on a few customer cars and had to work through ALOT of issues with it. But i hqave seen some done, there just very expensive to work with and alot of "tuners" arent familiar with them.

ive seen microtech'd cars that were fine, idk.

i also see it less expensive than comparable haltech, like 900 vs 1300 for a haltech

haltech offers you alot more adjustment and alot more options.

You may also be intrested in Megasquirt. Its actualy a great system. You simpley build it for whatever application you need it for.
