91 V6 Cav stalling and sputtering probs

my 91 v6 z24 lately has been stalling and sputtering often while driving, it only starts doing it after the engine has heated up a bit. sometime when im driving the car will all of the sudden start sputtering and then stop, and the rpm's are jumping all over the place, and then all of the sudden it stops, but sometimes the car compltetly dies, and this is scary as hell while driving. sometimes it will start right back up again, but other times i have to let it sit for awhile and then it drives for a little while and starts doing it again. some one please help me!!! the fuel filter is not the problem, i just replaced it and it still does the same thing.some one please help me!!!

Sounds like it could be the oxygen sensor, might check into that
