Clutch Q's???

this is my first time......doing a swap and clutch replacement.

ok I just installed a flywheel (stock/resurfaced) an Excedy clutch and clutch preassure plate. I bolted the flywheel, then the clutch and used the allingment tool, put the preasure plate on and bolted it down. Now my questions are...

1. Tranny is bolted on to the motor now, then i looked at the clutch lever, I tryed to move it up-wards to see if it moved and what not, it was so stiff i couldnt even lift it with my 2 hands, is this normal for a new clutch???? or once its broken into it will move more with ease???

2. The preassure plate, are all the bolts supposed to be fastened, tightly to hold the new clutch in, or am i supposed to leave them a little room so that it can get some room to grab and release the clutch????

1. does the clutch lever at least move alittle bit from its resting position ? if its does move alittle and once its gets hard you cant move it, then thats fine. its if its really hard to move with the clutch pedal, then you might have a problem.

2. just use the right torque specs on whatever the pp bolts should be and youll be fine

yes the clutch is very hard to move with just your hand on the level.

and the pressure plate should be tight, i think its like 18 lbs, so dont wrench it down super hard.

did you replace the throw out bearing??

yea i bought the hole excedy stage one kit:
icame with a new, pressure plate, clutch disc, throwout bearing, a new small barring forgot the name but it goes inside the middle of the flywheel and the allingment tool. only thing i re-used was the stock flywheel(resurfaced)....

I didnt even wrench it down i just bolted it down to torque specs.

made sure everything allingend, i just thought you would be able to move the lever up and down, since it didnt move i thoght i fucked something up.....

so its normal for it to be tight? so when i put it back in the car and turn it on, i would be a ble to step on the clutch and feel it release and engage right?

oh and i know the springs and the word lettering on the clutch disc have to be facing away from the motor? thats how i put it in (thats how I installed it). just want to make sure i do this right, if you guys have pics that would be great...

yeah you would feel it in the pedal because the pedal would be so easy to push down. if it causes you to use force to pusht he clutch pedal in then you know its working
