88 pcv valve

This may seem like a silly question although I assure you I am not completely inept.
I cannot find the pcv valve on my 88 ford escort 1.9 litre. When I bought the part I thought this would be an easy replacement but after 2 hours looking for it and many hours searching online and only getting "remove from hose and replace" for advice I am becoming frustrated.
If someone could tell me where it is or that I should have a shop do it that would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!

I don't know about your year of Escort but look for a large diameter vacuum line on the intake manifold. Should take you to it.
