no tach...no power..help!!

i have a 93 si del sol i blew the first motor which was a z6 and i put a new one in (z6) and i when i started it it ran and drove fine then the distributor went out so i bought a new one and put it on and the rotor in it went bad then i had the buy a new cap and after all said and done i didnt have really any bottom end power till i got to like 3000rpms then it goes fine...then i change the distrubutor again and it still does the same thing but this time after it was done the tach didnt work so wtf is goin on any help on that would be cool thanx...

is your distributor on correctly? It could be turned 120 degrees the wrong way, which would make that happen. Also, check your distributor wiring harness (not the plug wires, the harness itself)

how could you tell ive tried everything.what about an o2 sensor being bad or a plugged up cat?

could very well be your o2 sensor.. might wanna try seafoaming your motor... gets the carbon buildup out.

there's the link for how to do it. and to check and make sure your distributor is in the right place, there's a ridge and a thing that looks like an extra plug or something on your distributor cap... that ridge should be pointing to the front of the car. not down, not the back... to the front.
