I made it!! Wheee!!!!!! 1st time in a magazine for me. But my last name is spelled incorrectly :rolleyes: That is my fault, with my illegible handwriting. hehe...

No, I have the magazine right here, it's legit. The caption is at the bottom of the page but his pic is at the top, he just cut em together.

I just picked that issue up last night. Congrats Frank, did you ever post a progress thread on this one? I'd love to see more of that and any other contest winners in the mag.

its 2 diffrent parts of the page the pic and then the info is chopped into the buttom. thats the only photo shopping thats prolly been done.

My Spoon Sports Fit (signature) is in there from the Toledo, OH NNL. I did notice quite a few AF member cars made it. Great job everyone!

I have copied the pic and the write up from the magazine with my dumpy camera. That is why it looks PSed. lol Thanks yea yea. I got to look through the rest of the book today. I noticed some models in there that I have seen on AF before. The blue ferrari convertible by Brian Venable(sorry sunno your AF screen name), and the honda fitt by SpoonMan. There were a few more that look familiar as well. If you are in there and know of it, please come foward. I want everyone to get credit by the AF community. Congrats to everyone.

My '32 Ford Lowboy on page 51. Also on that same page, Cadguys blue Porsche 911 Speedster and mach1_2003's Tamiya Benetton B 188 F1 car! And, if you go to page 71, Cadguys '32 Ford salt flat racer!! Congrats to all!!

I dunno but I'm rather frustrated that my F20C Lotus didn't make it, especiall since the "S2000 modified Z8" made it twice. WTF?

I made it in from 2 different shows as ol' dude mentioned. My '32 Ford salt-flat racer what photo'd in Birmingham, and the Porsche speedster was photo'd here in Atlanta. I've only looked at it in the hobby store briefly, and saw a bunch of builds I recognized from AF.

I dunno but I'm rather frustrated that my F20C Lotus didn't make it, especiall since the "S2000 modified Z8" made it twice. WTF?

I was bummed that they didn't print the photo of your Lotus as well.

Double entries always seem to appear in each contest annual I've seen. I wished they had filtered out the duplicates in order to show more cars.

Yeah, whoops, in my frustration I forgot to congratulate everyone that made it in. Great builds by everyone here! I wonder if we should send SAE pictures from the AFMOTY - it's a "club" and "contest," too, we just don't all get together geographically.

None of my models made it in the contest part of the mag, but I didn't really go to many shows. I'm glad they selected my Miura buildup for this year annual feature though.

Congratulation to all of you that make it to the 2005 Contest Annual. Like gasman03, I made it for second year in a row. Last year with my Birmingham's Show Best of Show Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder, and this year in the GSL XX Show Covering with my BMW 850i. It was really weird, I couldn't enroll it in the Box Stock class due the intructions were forgotten at home...very far away from Salt Lake City,..in Caguas, Puerto Rico!, anyway I had a great time over there.
