Ok so when i turn on myheater i hear the vents open but the fan doesn't seem to be blowing any air, I do have to get a new battery because mine is weak and i am getting one tomorrow but i don't know if that will fix the heater? Could someone tell me where the fan is that blows the heat I think the mechanics i took my car too are trying to soak me for more money by breaking things Someone help it's cold up here in canada, Not blowing nay air and the fuse is not the problem any ideas?

If you are sure on the fuse might check for voltage at the fan and also check for any loose vacuum lines. Your controls are vacuum controlled so your engine has to be running and have vacuum to switch controls. You have vacuum lines under the hood and under the dash. If they loosened one near the alternator when working on it that could cause problems for sure. Might want to check for voltage at fan, which "should" be on the left side firewall(passenger side) of your car. Most GM cars and trucks have the motor there and is easily removed if bad.

I appriciate your quick respone jsgold you rock. Yeah i thought that round casing on the passenger side is the fan it i put my hand on it and it felt like it was running so they must ahve knocked a vacum loine off or something i know where the ones are by the battery and such i will have a look by the alternator and i don't know where the under dash ones are. They also removed my battery to test it and they said it is weak and that i should replace it whihc i understand because it will run my new rebuilt alternator into the ground. So it seems from placing my hand on the fan casing that it is running and since it's dark out now i will wait till tomorrow and inspect the vacum lines and patch them with some industrial tape. Thanks I will update tomorrow.

Hy another problem resolved when i had my altrernator repaired they knocked some of the connections to the heater blower loose all i had to do was jiggle the wires and boom heat returned soooo soooo happpy. So if anyone has a blower problem it's located on the passenger side on the fire wall at the top of the engine and is very easy to ifnd just check the connections. Good luck to anyone with car headaches. Thanks again jsgold
