I'm curious about something stupid

It's the generic question again, can it be done or has it been done, although i'm looking for a real answer. Can I drop my 305 TPI(if I buy a nice new engine for my camaro) into my 240sx? If so, what manual transmissions would fit? I'm guessing I would have to balance the car out, and I figure it's been done with a mazda rx-7. Honestly, I think it goes against the vehicles heritage and pride, but I already HAVE THE ENGINE!! And I might get more money for the 2.4 liter 5 speed tranny than the small block?? :screwy: And I could sell the 700R4.
SO should I do it?...

I have heard of people doing that all the time, even putting 350's into 'em and making them rockets. If you were gonna do it put in a 350 dont put in the 305

what's the big difference between the 305 and the 350? and not to change the original subject, I still need the other information

I think this would be better answered by the 240SX forum cause those guys would probably already be aware of the fabricated parts needed to get it in there. I know, I have read a few threads in there. Where they got LT1's in there cars and the 305 and 350 both have the same bolt patterns as the LT1. So I am sure most of the fabricated parts are the same.
