Alright, well, I'm 17, I just bought a 2001 Jimmy SLS with 91,000 miles, it's engine runs strong but I wasn't able to retrieve information about it's past(such as transmission rebuilds, etc).

How long do these Jimmys really last? I hear nothing but Jimmy transmissions breaking like twigs every 45-60,000 miles, mine has 91,000 little uneasing.

Where could I find engine and transmission rebuild kits for a 2001? I can easily find rebuild kits for early-mid 90's Jimmys but none for a 2001, by next June I would like to have the engine completely rebuilt with forged parts, and have the transmission completely rebuild with a strong clutch.

The only problem with this car is it feels like it's STUCK in 4WDHI, well you can see it, my brother and I played with it for a couple hours, the 2WDHi is lit up but you can feel the 4WD and when you look under the car you can see the front spinning. And it's gas sensor is on the fritz, fill it up and apparently I'm on low fuel.

Lots of questions, just wondering what I should do and where I can find certain things.

I plan on doing a full tune up soon, I had read some of those tips for refreshening a Jimmy on your site, seems like a good idea, I'll follow all of them, I just NEED this car to last through the winter and spring with few problems.
