Alright I did finally get my baby. Have had her for 3 weeks now (I'll be posting pictures in the near future) and after a mere week of driving her she died. I checked the oil and it was abit low so I figured perhaps this was the problem after all, when it died it did show the oil pressure light but also the battery light. Alright I changed the oil. I'm using Mobil 5W-30 Synthetic Blend if you're curious. Alright. She ran another 2 weeks then tonight on my way home from work I stop at a 4 way stop and she quietly dies again. I try to start. Failure. :banghead: Try again and she starts up. This time the oil light and battery light came on again and the check engine light came on briefly. I have heard of this before and was wondering if you guys thought this was just the IAT Sensor going out? I believe it was PsychoJJ that told me that one of the first things I should do when I get this car was replace the factory IAT Sensor with an aftermarket. Also I was wondering (because I'm not that mechanically inclined and don't speaka da lango) what IAT actually stands for. Another thing you should know is I checked the oil when I got home and it is perfectly fine so the oil light is a liar. Thanks in advance for your replies :iceslolan .

You have called out the whirl wind now face the reaper.....errr I mean..you rang? :lol2:
Yip it indeed sounds like the ol IAT bitch. Take it down to a pep boys or another store they will check the codes and bring them back to me muwahahahahahahaha. Sorry, bad time for an evil laugh eh?
Depending on what the codes are that got thrown it could in fact be the IAT sensor problem or something totally different or option 3. You may have to sacrifice a small panguin to the car gods. Remember, it has to be a small one. The big ones dont work as good. The bigger ones just make your car run rich for some reason.
Intake Air Temperature sensor.

Intake Air Temperature Sensor. Got it. I'll take it to Autozone. I think they check codes for free. I'm sure other places do it but Autozone is pretty close to my place. I drove all day today with out it dying on me once. I've got work shortly so we'll see if it does it again on the way home. I'll try to get it to Autozone tomorrow or something and I'll let you know what codes.

IAT sensor trouble wont be constant. It is a hit and miss kind of a problem. Some days the car will run fine and in some cases the engine light will not be on and other days the light will be on and you are lucky to get the car 3 damn feet. But yeah, let me know what you are throwing and we can get you squared away right quick.
