Leaking Fluid?

Over the last few days at home I have spotted drops of fluid underneath my Beretta but yet every check visually shows nothing dripping. I do know that it gets a bit dirty and greasy underneath a car and we have had rain recently so I am wondering if it comes from hitting a puddle or something. The fluid feels a bit greasy when I touch the wet spots on the ground. It is a bit confusing. I would think that if I was leaking something I would see it drip. The fluid also has no smell.

I ran my car today and looked underneath to see if anything was dripping and still no luck. I am not seeing drips or fluid drops at other places I have parked my car when out driving other than the usual water drops when running the air conditioner. I am also getting no warning lights of any kind saying that the car is low on the typical fluids. This is a very odd problem.

A lot of times your engine will leak while it sits after running, usually a small oil leak from worn main seal. Might want to watch and see where this puddle is in relation to the car, is it near a wheel, under the engine, under transaxle etc. Could be a hard to see leak from steering system. The fact is has no smell but is greasy makes me wonder if it could be brake fluid or power steering fluid. If the leak continues see if it is near a wheel. Check for leaky caliper, wheel cyclinder, hose, hard line, if it is, just to be sure. Check your fluids often including power steering, brake fluid, transmission fluid. may be nothing but best to be safe. My son's old 91 Explorer recently had a small leak near rear of vehicle. When I removed the drum I found a leaky wheel cylinder. If you determine it is a minor oil or power steering leak you can always put some high milage oils or fluids in it.

Well I think I did find the problem. It seems that it may be the oil filter. I noticed it was somewhat slippery and though I never saw it drip it seems one of the oil spots is underneath it. I am wondering if they even replaced the filter or even put it on securely.
