just wondering what percentage of guys works out and stuff. I just started 4 months ago, been keeping up but recently it's been hard b/c of school. Though i have been noticing a good amount of difference. I just need to get back at it, and in a year, watch out models at the beach :evillol:
As far as working out I meant lifting weights. Not just getting exercise. When I first started, I probably lifted around 4-5 times a week. Now b/c of school and midterms, about once a week but I'm trying to bump that back up to 3-4 times a week.

I guess you could say I work out regularly. I have something going on with baseball 6 days a week, 1 1/2 hour of practice every weekday at school and then a double header every Saturday.
As far as weight lifting goes, I did it maybe 3 time a week during the summer. Now school (Senior thank god) and constant baseball, and doing car related shit has me too tired to workout more than I already have to, but I'm still in shape so that's all that counts to me.

I jog 3-4 times a week, and I park really far out at the mall. Does that count?
I eat really healthy though, so I'm not that worried. I excercise as much as I can. I live up about a mile from Blue Springs, so I go there about 2 times a week and swim upstream to the boil. Holy crap, that's a workout.

I would if I had time, but I only really have Saturday and Sunday free each week. My weekdays are so stressful I would just rather relax on Sunday and on Saturday I use that time to take care of things in personal life.

I lift about 3 times a week. Then I also have work where I get just as good of a workout as I do when I go to the gym.

I heart working out. I lift 6 days a week, run 4 days a week, and work as a stocker who throws about 90 cases an hour so that almost counts as a workout. I freaking love it man, after having surgeries for year after year as soon as I could finally get back to it, I did, and I love it.

I've always worked out...i'll lift until I hurt something, let it heal, and lift again. I'm in the let it heal stage right now, sucks going from repping 285 lbs to 120 lbs so I don't rip a ligament in half. Almost healed now tho! I think i'll start back on creatine, haven't taken it in years.

I enjoy working out quite a bit, but more on the cardio side. I run 4-6 times a week and lift 2-3 times a week, and drink a shitload of water. Hurt my knee a couple weeks ago and haven't been able to do much in that time...makes you realize how much better you feel in general when you exercise regularly.

i go ski racing 4-5 times a week and when it's nice out play tennis several times a week. i never understood the point of going for a jog. i can never motivate myself to run with no purpose or destination. i play softball in the spring too. used to lift weights but i was too small to lift the bench press bar out of the hook cuz my arms weren't long enough. so i did stuff with my legs and i got so toned/muscular that i had trouble fitting into my jeans and shorts so i gave that up.

I usually make an attempt to lift 2-3 times a week. I also have Aikido classes a couple nights. In between I try and keep active -- during the 3 warm seasons it's pretty easy (lots of biking, hiking, tennis, parkour, etc.) and my place of business just happens to be moving 5 minutes from where I live, so I'll be biking to and from work everyday also (which is sweet.) During Winter it's harder (what with the snow and the dark-at-5pm) but I try to do some training outside, which is actually pretty fun in the snow as it cushions breakfalls well. In addition I keep some tension bands in the office, so I can usually do a bunch of reps in different positions, crunches, etc. which gets the heart rate up pretty good.
Plus it's good stress relief after I get off the phone with a problem customer:banghead:

Man! I just start back and man am I sore. But hey no pain no gain. I just do over do it. 3-4 times a week is good enough for me. Then I complement it with a little bit of running.

Since I got my youth apprenticeship and work on Wednesday night I only lift Mondays and Fridays. I do mostly a powerlifting routine.
My stats are:
Age: 16
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 195
Bench: 255
Squat: 425
Trap Bar Deadlift: 500
Anybody have lifting questions I am a book. I used to go on the fitness boards and have been lifting since my 12th b-day (5 years now :D I'm almost 17).

I generally ride my super heavy 3-speed bike about 4-6 miles everyday while I'm out doing stuff. I'd like to be swimming again - but it costs money to use pools, and I'm cheap and lazy.

i work out once a week for abvout 2 hours, i eat about 5 pounds of meat a day, then one day a week work it into muscle, because people say you need atleast 48hours of rest for your biceps to grow, this isnt true it been prooven that even 3 days isnt enough, iv been doing this rueteen for about 14 weeks and gained 15pounds of lean muscle :)
zx2guy

you dont have to eat all that meat. Those protien shakes are packed with much more protien then those steaks (ive read some pretty amazing stats on meat v the shakes). unless of course you like eating the steaks (then more power to you). but if you do try those shakes you have to pick up a little more then ussual on your routine, because you will have more protien in your system it will add to gurth and bulk rather then lean muscle. you can give it a try. but has anyone tried those pills? not the ones that burn fat, but to give you energy.

LA-CUSTOMS, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

i started a few weeks ago. because im at a boarding school, i have to leave my stuff either at school or at home, i leav it at school. that only leaves me 4 days to work out, i usually work out monday tuesday thursday, sometimes on wednesday depending on how i feel. i haven't gotten into the shakes and stuff yet, that stuff's kinda expensive and i only have 60$ per month now.
i get more excercise in the summer because i have more time and because there are more things i can do. i can't run because my knees are messed, i also can't leg press, i tried 200lbs and my knees were killing after one rep, 5 years ago in grade 7 or 8 could do 250, im sure i can do more, it's my knees that are preventing me. i love swimming, i can swim forever, i sometimes go in my pool (it's above ground and circular) and swim 50 laps one way, turn around and do 50 laps the other, awsome workout. also i bike to my job, 15 mins there, 15 mins back. it's also a kinda physical job, its at a place with a driving range, mini putt, and go karts. on the gokart trak you have to run out and get some little kids who went off course, then put them on the track and start them up. it's the worst when you've got a 250lbs 40 year old man stuck in a sand pit. you have to lift the front, turn them around, then push them out. anyways, i wish i could excercise more but i cant.

my school just got another boat so the crews are going to be rowing every day, monday-friday, with a workout in the gym at 4 monday-thursday. i injured myself and got some stitches so i haven't rowed since friday but today i got on the rowing machine for 10 minutes, oh man did it make me feel good. i think i'm addicted to rowing or something, i was going crazy all week because i didn't have my twice daily workout lol.

i work out every other day. i dont do any leg stuff because i dont want to show off my legs. the only reason i started was for the girls, and i guess so i can defend my self more easily. i think everyone should give 4 months of theyre lives to going to the gym and working on upper body. as soon as you notice how strong you get and see the results, i can promise you wont want to stop. shit, im a none working, barely school going, stoner and smoker who eats 1 meal a day, but i still love it.
if this thread has inspired anyone, maybe you could give my routine a shot, it did the trick for me!
first of all, get some "low fat weight gainer" (thats the actual name of the product, and it comes in a big ass container. it cost me about $30 NZ and is only suposed to last a week! if your like me though and dont eat much, its THE way to go)
(in this order)
10 minute warm up (bike)
stretch
bench press
push ups
peck deck
dumbell flies
tricep pulldowns (rope)
tricep kickbacks
bicep 7,7,7's
hammer curls
assisted dips
crunches
stretch
thats about one hour every other day and your arms, tits, and abs will be smokin. its best to do 4 sets, and reps in the order of 12, 10, 8, 6. as the number of reps gets smaller, the weights go up.
