Removal of 99 Door Panel

Help,
I bought my 16 year old boy(spoiled brat) a 99 Chevy Silverado Z71 truck for his birthday and the inside door handle on the passenger side is broke, I can't get the door panel off to look at it. I'm a single girl so give me a little slack, I have all the confidence to fix it but I don't want to break anything else in the meanwhile.....

look for all the screws around the panel and theres i believe 1 or 2 in the middle by the handle...when you get all of the screws, lift the panel up and it should pop right off. welcome to the board by the way.

Oh, don't you also have to pull the triangular shaped trim off that is right above the door panel and on the inside of the side view mirror?

yeah good call...ive done it so many times but its hard to explain without looking at the truck.

Well, I have never done it, so that is why I asked. I have read up on it though, and the trim just pulls off. Just grab and yank

1 take 2 7mm screws out near handle
2 pop lock cover off take screw out there
3 pop triangle cover off
4 pull up on window switch cover and unplug it
5 lift door panel off and thats it

if there are any steps left please pitch in

Be sure to lift the panel UP and away, otherwise you'll break the little plastic clip that hold the panel on the door.
