I am getting ready to have my camshaft sensor replaced and I was wondering if anyone had any good pointers or advice.I had my comp read by a friend and that was all that came up. I hope that is all that is wrong. It is a 1999 with 93,000. Only other major thing was my wheel bearings that were replaced this past summer. What else should I look out for? Thank you!

if you have not had your timing and serpentine belts replaced (typicly done 60-75k miles) I would have that done for preventative maintenance.

As zx says, change your timing belt. The zx2 is an interference motor. This means that if the timing belt breaks the valves interfere with the pistons. If a valve goes through a piston you will be looking at a new motor. Two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time. The newer belts are made out of kevlar (the same stuff they make bullet proof vests out of). They are typlically good for 100,000 miles.

yes it is a NON-interferance so the motor just shuts off
