It's an 8 valve, automatic. I just bought it and even though the body is in perfect conditions and the interiors like new, it has 259000 km on it.
It's running ok but it's old and the pick up it's really slow. I am planning on swaping the auto trany for a 5 spd and the engine too, I would like some advice on engine options.
I was thinking on the 16 valve as the least complicated option with it's own 5 spd, maybe because of the mountings. How much harder is to put a 2.0 liter? I've seen some nice A2 vr6's but I think that is too much for this one.
I haven't checked the compression yet but I will tomorrow so I can have a better idea of the engine condition. Trany shifts smooth, without kicking but it vibrates a lot and once again, is really slow.
