SS/SC Vs. 03+ V6 Tibby

BullDog71ss

I was out for another cruise lastnight when I passed by a newer V6 Tiburon(I think it was black?). I looked it over a bit when I was cruising by to see if it was a V6, which it was, then I just kept my 45 mph pace and pretty much forgot about the car because it didn't seem like the driver was interested. Well, I was wrong. He's about 4 lengths behind me when he drops it down and tries to catch me from behind(this move is getting old).I punched it when he was about 2 cars back and was in 3rd gear at 45 mph which puts me at about 2300 rpm or so when, so I wasn't in much of a racing mode, but I didn't bother to drop it down a gear out of laziness. This gave him the opportunity to get about 1 1/2 cars ahead before the SS finally picked up some momentum and I started to gain on him. But what do you know, the bastard jumps me from behind, then shuts down before I pass him.

I just said to myself that it figures and slowed down to a normal pace. Since he had fallen back after he nailed the brakes he was coming up on me again. I looked directly over at him and it was a puggy little kid that couldnt have been more than 17 years old. Then he did something I really didn't expect. He made this strange fish lipped motion with his mouth in an effort to taunt me over his "victory". So I followed behind him after changing lanes to the next red light. I'm behind him at the light and he's the first car in line. I've got my window cracked and I can hear some younger guys in the back of a pickup that's in the left turn lane say to him "Looks like you've got some trouble behind you dude." I chuckled a bit while admiring the E46 convertable M3 a lane over.(Yes I know the M would have destoyed me if it wanted to play)

Light goes green and we both take off normaly with me behind him a length and a half. Once we're clear of the intersection and the 2 cars that were at the light the kid goes for it at about 35 mph. I waited for him to get another length for safety's sake and I nail it. I changed a lane over to the left as I'm now reeling him in fast. I caught him at the beginning of 3rd which is around 65 mph and slingshot passed him, with just enough time to look over and let him know I appreciated his ricer-flyby by letting him know I thought he was number 1. The expression on his face was priceless.:eek7: I shut her down at 90-95 with a few lengths on him and made a left to hit the freeway and go home. He followed me on the freeway and was driving at a fast pace so I figured he wanted a go on the top end. But for some reason he cuts off a bunch of cars behind me and jump on the first exit ramp, staring me down while leaving. :screwy: Anyway, that was my fun for the night.

Why do none of these kids have any honor? What the hell is the matter with actually lining up with someone and having a fair run?

All i get are races from a light. I think i've only gotten one real race from a roll, ever. Maybe when you are at a light next to one, roll down your window and request one?

I think that's about what one has to do. I have had some dig races, but only with my buddies when we set it up.

well we aren't all bad.
Depending on which 17 year old kid you face, you'll see different outcomes.
I know how you feel when a guy in a lesser car thinks he beat you. I had the same experience dealing with a kitted del sol. I'm just cruising around and this jerk comes swerving around and hits his hazards like he's the man.
Needless to say, 5 minutes and 3 highway runs later he wasn't the man anymore... I doubt he had much left of what was his ego.

Sorry, too late. I destroyed a 90's modded honda hatch tonight with my buddy in the car. The kid picked the fight and I ended it. Man, it was bad. He took off from the light like a shot and I gave him a good 7 lengths before I got on it. By 80 mph I had him reeled in and passed him. I shut down about a half car ahead seeing no need to take it any further. He just kept going to 100+...friggin nut case kid.

Before that I ran him from a roll at about 30-75. My buddy said he couldnt count the bus lengths, but there were a lot. After I shut down he kept it wot and when he got within a couple lengths back I nailed it again, stopping his pull instantly and put another bus length on him.

I guess it's fun for them to try? Man, the ricer fly-by is getting to be a wide spread tactic...I think someone sent out a memo.

I know, but at least I only do it when it's on empty roads late at night. I've also had pretty good cop karma, although I know what ya mean about pushin the luck. But hey, at least I keep you guys some what entertained.

Good news tho, im test driving some tomorrow!

Oh I know. I wasnt like that at all when I was younger either. Although I had was an 86 silverado with a lackluster 305. But at least I didn't try to pawn it of as some NASTRUCK. Hell, I never raced anything untill I got the Camaro when I was 19.

Im seriously considering an 04 mach 1. Found one with 4k miles for 21 grand.

But I hope to get as many cars in as a can. All V8 Mustang variants post 99, LS1's, STI's, EVO's, New Eclipse, GTO, possibly the 3000gt VR-4, i dunno if they have them there still, and a MKIV Supra.

If you guys can think of anything else a Dealership might have, lemme know.

He got the jump on me from behind, in the next lane over. He wasnt trying to just pass me as there was no need to go wot with zero traffic around besides the two of us. And no, I didn't manage to catch him in the first run as he shut down and nailed the brakes. This however did cause me to pass him because I wasn't thinking he'd instigate a run, then chicken out.

04 mach is awesome. But how old are you? I've heard the insurance is insane on them. The rest of the cars in your list are very nice as well. Hope you have a kick ass day test driving those cars man. Just don't crash one huh. ;)

It's kinda cool. But I don't think it's a very good overall package/deal. Plus, a 3500 pound sport compact is unheard of.

But hey, he may like it. I bet it's a very nice car to cruise around in. I liked the previous gen v6 a lot. As a matter of fact I almost bought one.

I nominate BullDog71ss for the "2005 AF Street Racing Mercinary Of The Year" Award. This man seems to have posted more kills this year alone than what one would see in the average "Dirty Harry" movie!

Additionally he should also get the "2005 AF Weirdest Death Of The Year" Award for the Dirt Mound incident.

Wow, you need to help yourself to a big ol' cup of STFU. Because honestly, your little insult to Hyundai drivers is beyond pathetic. Seriously, I'd expect the same amount of 'honor' out of any driver, not matter what their vehicle is. The vehicle doesn't dictate the behavior of the driver.

Oh, and that little joke about small children making Hyundai's is especially shitty. Really, you're busting on a company that just built a state-of-the-art, billion dollar production facility in the US? How retarded are you? Grow the fuck up.

Anyways, back to the original point of this thread, nice kills man!

I wouldn't know. Kicked both of them out of my apartment last week. Blob kept getting the munchies and would eat all of our food, and then wouldn't pay us back. Then, Magneto came home one night completely shit-faced, and accidently turned our cars into a modern art sculpture. Yeah, that sucked bad.

As long as people continue to purchase items like automobiles without taking into consideration the labour conditions present when their vehicle was built, I will continue to question their integrity and honour.

Oh, so it's okay that they run sweatshops and use child labour in Korea because they just built a new facility in the US. Yes, that makes it all better; I'm sure it will make all those children and the workers who have lost their vision from arc welding without being provided proper safety equipment very happy. Not to mention the ones poisoned from toxic fumes. Who cares about them, right?

You're right, my joke was shitty, because what Hyundai does is no laughing matter. By making a joke, I inadvertently made light of a serious matter. For that, I apologize.

Yeah, i agree there a good deal, its just finding one with good mileage thats a problem around here.

But I did drive the 04 Cobra and 04 mustang GT around, pretty good deals at 28k for 9k mileage and 17k for 20k mileage respectively, too bad i cant afford the cobra, plus i think its too much power for me right now, considering i drive a saturn...

Heh, my threads seem to get hi-jacked quite a bit. Oh well.
That's what the threads are for I suppose. :lol2:

About the cobra vs. the mach...the cobra is obviously the more powerful car, BUT, the mach is much much cooler. I also saw a stock 03 mach with slicks run a 12.99 lastnight. Impressive.

Mach1's are worlds easier to launch than the Cobra. The Mach1 suspension rocks your socks from a dig. Cobra's, although people rarely use them for this, actually handle damn well cause of their IRS.

If only GM would of IRS'd a Fbody... if only.

BullDog71ss

Yup, thats pretty much the way it goes. Live axle is always better choice in the 1320. The machs actually handle fairly well for being a strait axle car though in thier defense. Although, nothing like the Cobras.

Good kill. When I dynoed my WS6 I kinda felt for this guy that was at the shop that had a Tiburon. He added a catback exhaust and a CAI. First my car was dynoed, and I was pissed cause it initially only had 337whp, he thought my car was a monster. By the end of the day, and my 351whp dyno, he dynoed his tiburon to the tune of 148whp :( That's gotta suck.

Did he have the V6 Tibby? That sounds more like the 4 cyl to me. Because I've heard the 6 cyl's take to those monor bolt on's pretty well. Poor guy. Was he a bit let down?

That's like what, 185 crank hp? That's reasonable for a V6 Tibby...his expectations were probably just too high...you aren't gonna hit 200whp with just a couple of bolt ons.
