Alright this post is kinda lame...but i need advice.
Tonight at 4:30am (yes..you read that right) i'm gonna meet with the over night manager for an over night package handling job at fed ex. It pays $10.50hr and it's 2am-8am, 5 days a week. What the hell should i wear..? I was thinking about just dress pants, casual dress shoes, and a white business shirt tucked in....no tie. Hell, it's a package handling position..so i doubt they care if you come dressed all spiffy like most retail/sales jobs i'm used to.
BTW it's not really an interview...the women from corperate said to meet with him, and he'll show me the operations...and if i like it, the job is mine..

I would just wear carpenter jeans. No big reason, just that I'm comfortable in them.

Just listen to google and get some motherhood maternity clothes, or women's casual dress. That should get you the job.
As my mom always told me, dress to impress. It doesn't matter if you can wear an old white t-shirt and sweatpants with BBQ stains on them to the actual job, look nice when you're doing an interview/consult/whatever you call it.

I say find find out what the overnight manager is going to wear, and follow it to the letter. Even down to the haircut and possible glasses. Nothing says I want this job like extreme sycophantism

Well, i already decided that after the interview i'm gonna go to lower manhattan, cover myself in peanut butter and have a 6 hooker gang bang...
But..i'm just gonna go with slacks/boots/tucked in white dress shirt. Should i wear a friggin tie..? I don't wanna be the "look at that guy" person, if you get me. I'm still mystified on what the f**k is going to happen..? The girl from corperate said meet with the overnight manager, and he will show you the operations...and you'll go from there..?
Does that mean work..? It can't, cause i'm not "signed up" with the company....unless it's off the books...which i doubt.

In my opinion, for any job with great potential to move up and make more money dress to impress. If you dress up, who knows he may ask your interest for another position or keep more of an eye on you to promote you in the future.

Damnit i should have done what some suggested.....more casual type clothes..
I get there, at 4:25am....there are about 10 other guys for the same orientation/interview..and they are all wearing jeans/sweatshirts/hoodies etc....lol. I was the only guy with slacks, shoes, and a nice spiffy white dress shirt..
Looks good though, the job itself is a so simple and i explained to the manager how i like over-night hours. He told me "oh thank god, you're the only guy outta the crew to say that"..
Thanks everyone...
