I have a 1995 1500 with a 4.3 5 speed. When the weather turns cold, every morning I have to pump my clutch back up. It is not all the way down, its functional but rough. It only does this when the weather cools down. In the past winters, my slave went out, my master cylinder has went out. I have a brand new clutch in the truck, new motor as well, just having this problem again and I do not wish to find myself this winter replacing a master cylinder, worse yet, a clutch or slave.

I had somewhat the same problem with my 93 k1500 5.7L, 5-speed cast iron. I ended up replacing the clutch master 4 times and the slave once within 4 weeks. i ended up pulling the tranny out and traced the problem to a wore out clutch fork and ball stud. the ball stud was never greased and it wore a hole through the clutch fork causing the everthing to bind up. the extra pressure from that caused the hydraulics to keep blowing. finding a parts store that carried the part was a real problem. the dealerships even had the wrong parts. after 4-days of downtime NAPA was able to locate one in stock. $8 part NAPA, $75 Chevy dealership. go figure

Yeah, the dealership is always ridiculous. I am surprised that napa was that reasonable. I recently put a new motor, slave, clutch, the whole works in. I was surprised to find this problem again.
