ok. i have a 1995 prelude s-type. i have had it for about a year, a maybe 2 months ago, the sunroof stopped opening all the way. it just lifts up a little bit but doesnt slide back at all, giving me no access to the screws that hold the thing on, so i cant take it out for the life of me. its not a fuse either, i checked that. i think one of the springs on the slider arm is broke, thats why it wont slide back, and nothing is in the tracks blocking it from moving, so???? any suggestions on what and how i should get the thing out, except with a sledgehammer? lol. also i've been looking around for a long time and have had no luck, is there a glass sunroof in production for my 95 lude? i want one really bad and think it will look hot on the car, but cant find one in any local auto glass stores or even online? is there a website i can check out regarding this? any suggestions and answers will be much appreciated. Thanks!!!

try spraying wd-40 or some other lubricant in the tracks from the top of the car. My sunroof gets a lil sticky, and I noticed an immediate difference after doing this. Just spray and little on there at first, just to lubricate and see if it does anything. DON'T just drench it. WD-40 dripping from the sunroof can and will fuck up a nice shirt.

sorry to bring a thread back from the dead but to answer ur question....no they do not have a glass sunroof in production for 4th gens....there is a conversion u can do....let me find the thread where i found this conversion..i will edit it in. the only down side of this conversion of the 5th gen glass sunroof is that there is no cover. to fix that, someguys have put tint on it and have had no problem with the sunlight bothering them. i plan on doing this in the future but right now im tight on money so its not gonna happen

hmmmm.... yeah i just ended up lubing it up with chassis grease, cause your right, wd-40 would ruin my day if it dripped, and it seems to be doing fine now. one of the springs in the track arms looks like it got stuck, so the lube took care of it..... thanks for all your help fellas, i appreciate the feedback on this problem (tho i wish they did produce glass sunroofs for the 4th's, that would be big big titties lol)!
