Hey guys, I have a 2003 Hyundai accent (40.000 kms )thats causing a little problem. The first problem,a few months ago, it began to jump really hard when you would put it in the forward gear, like there's an engine mount broke or something, but everything was fine. Now it is causing another problem, when driving along and you go to step it down, there's no pickup, and the engine will race like the transmission is slipping.I checked the fluid, all's well .Also the engine light is on now. don't know if this is problem related or not.Are these problems under warranty? Any help or advise to what the problem is would be greatly appreciated. Thanx Dale.

This should certainly be covered under your warranty - both the bumper to bumper warranty and the drivetrain warranty. Just simply call your Hyundai dealer and set up an appointment. Best of luck.

I hope this helps someone.
I took mine to a friend and found a few things:
1. The transmission oil pan had rusted to the point that it was seeping fluid.
2. Over time this condition depleted the fluid to the point were the thing was slipping and causing all kinds of symptoms, including a check engine light.
3. I replaced the oil pan and had the transmission flushed. THE PROBLEM GOT WORSE!!!!
4. I added 2 liters of transmission fluid and the problem has gone away for the past two days. The check engine light has also gone out????

Could this have been a low fluid problem all along? Seems so. I find it very hard to get an accurate reading on this car, it shows full on one side of the stick and low on the other.
Be careful, I hope my experience can help someone out their.
