I got it installed and got the wires correct. At least I think I did. No lights come on like check gauges or anything. So how would I know if it is working? Do I really need to shut the car off to go from like setting two back to one or setting one back to normal?

You can up the stages with no problems. So going from stock on to stage 2 is good to go. Now to go from from stage 2 back down you do indeed need to have the car turned off.
How do you know if its working? Well thats the fun part. Find your self a nice little spot you can do a wide up throttle first to second gear shift and take it on the stock setting. Next pass put er on stage 2 but this time let your head get all nice and relaxed and do the same as before.
If your head bounces back and slams your skull into your head rest going from first to second then you know its working ok.
Im not trying to tell you how to drive your car or anything but I recommend if you leave the shift plus on at all times to leave it on stage 1 for daily driving. Stage 2 just is way too harsh for stop and go driving. Its best only for screwing around and for track use. Stage one gives you a little more fun but when in stop and go situations it doesnt feel like your tranny is going to rip itself out.

Im all for helping people in what ever way I can whenever I can there Brian but ummmm that whole pic thing aint gonna happen. :lol2:
Paranoia got the better of me and I mad all the wiring look seemless using more electrical tape then most people use wiring a house so if checked nothing looks done. In other words it would take an act of god for me to undo all that and get to the connections. Yeah, I know, Im a little :screwy:
all I can suggest is going back through step by step in reverse and make sure everything was done 5by5. Or if all else fails start over. Sometimes its all about trial and error but trust me, you will know when ti is working.

Mine is a 2000. Where are the wires located that you tapped into?
PsychoJJ
10-21-2005, 01:02 AM
The big pack of wires that is bellow the mid point of where the stock box piping for the intake was. Or in a 2000 it should be down and to the left of the battery if memory serves me correctly and half the time it doesnt but who know it could pan out for once.

I know this is where it at in the ecos so it may not be the same spot on your engine but lets try anyways.
To the right of the pic where the big red circle is look bellow your air filter for the black wire loomed pack of wires. Follow it down as shown by the arrow to where its plugged in at. Unplug the wire pack and that is where you are going to want to make your connections. Plug the wire pack back in and you should be good to go.
The other stuff was me just making a doodle of a football play to amuse myself. :lol2:

Is that the option left play? What two wires should I tap into. I think I know what you're talking about as I was looking at that before.

Hook the black wire into the light blue wire with the white stripe. Then hook the red wire into the red wire with the black stripe. There are two of them. There is one directly bellow the light blue wire and one to the right of it. You want to hook into the one that is bellow the light blue wire NOT the one that is to the right.
So again and with less BS.
Black to light blue with white stripe.
Red to red with black stripe bellow the light blue wire.
And Im not going to bed till you get this figured out so get crackin damn it.

The thing i'm thinking about is.....move that circle up one pointer length and it's like directly below that if you move the circle you made up.

Its pretty much right at where my arrow is. While we have been going back and forth on this I took out my intake. :bricks1:
The connection is about 2 inches around and is gray. You cant miss it once you find it.

Ok if you are having that arrow pointing to somethign that is more towards the front of my car, I can't see anything round towards the front. The only thing I see that is somewhat round is back more around the transmission dispstick and down about 4-5 inches. And it doesn't have a light blue/white wire or a red/black wire.
Where you have the arrow going down is it towards the front of the engine by the fan and how far down is it.

hey where that filter for your intake is isnt a very safe place unless you have abypass for your filter cuz if you wash your car and hit the whole under your hood your gonna get the filter wet and then next time you turn your car on your sucking in water..thats not healthy

It is right by the tranny. Hell it plugs into the thing.
Also, to the above post. His filter is more then fine. My old setup had the filter right smack dab in the front grill and I never once had a problem with washing, rain or any other sort of liquid and that is with having a functional hood scoop right above it.

Ok I found where my PCM is and the wires that I need. I used those gay connectors that came with the kit. I'm pretty sure I have the right wires. But it still don't seem the thing is working. I no longer have my filter there. I took out the air bong/box and now have the filter where the air bong/box was.

No i'm serious. I didn't know that there was a big write up on it. But i've read some other places and they said it was on the driver said in the engine bay. I found the wires or what I think are the wires on the passenger side behind the fender.
