95 Civic LX -- Rear End Package

Hi all,

Just bought a 95 Civic LX with 108K. It failed the safety inspection. One reason the mechanic said is : in suspension, control arm -- needs a new one. He said it is also called rear end package ( hope I got it right).

But the price tag scared me. It is 410 for this part.

Can some one help me on this ? Is this right price ?

What can I do to reduce my cost in this case?

I am a novice with cars. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
