We are trying to change the fuel filter on our 1993 (5.8L) Ford Bronco and cannot get the fuel lines disconnected for the life of us! We disconnect the neg. battery terminal, take the gas cap off, remove the clips and those fuel lines will NOT budge! We got the easy disconnect tool and we either must not be using it right or it isn't working. ANY ideas???

I had this same problem and finally got mine changed. You need the 5/16" tool (I think thats the size....the smallest one). Shove it all the way in the hose. You probably wont hear or feel anything to assure you've unlatched it, at least i didn't, but if its all the way in, you're good. Make sure you have room for the fuel line to back off. I had to take the filter out of the holder to get the hose on the front end side as there was no room to pull it off. It is a complete pain to get the line disconnected, I had to pull real hard, and for a long time to finally see it was coming. Some people say there is pressure and you will get sprayed with gas, but I guess fortunately for me this was no the case, the only gas that came out was what i let drain out of the filter when i pulled it out of the holder...however, I'd still make sure your eyes are protected and have a fire extiguisher near by. I don't know a way to losen it up any other than pulling like hell. but it will eventually come apart. hope this helped.
