Fast Cavaliers

Who in here has a cavalier that is at least running LOW 16s or faster. Please let me know if your stock or what kind of mods you have made to you car. Thanks

You are right. I'm pretty sure a lot of cars are running better than 16's. New exhuast would do it along with a CAI or WAI and aftermarket header. Take out the sound system in your trunk and you will help out the weight a bit.

I only have a 2.2 with a WAI and exhuast...haven't taken it to the track. Don't think I want to just yet. Not sure what i'll get in time though. Mines an auto as well.

My friend and I went, we saw one Cavalier RWD with a 350.

And another RWD Cavalier with a 464....

The reason why I think Jayons's is fast because it's about 2 seconds faster than mine. Think about it. You are racing another Cavalier that looks just like yours yet he beats you by two seconds in the ¼ mile. That is a whopping 2 seconds behind when you pass the finish line. If i was close to his time in the ¼, I wouldn't consider that fast because i'm right up there with him. Because then maybe I know the next run I could beat him.

I agree 2 seconds mite not seam like a lot but it is and car wise thats like 7 8 9 cars at least.

and the word FAST, thats in opinion word, i had an 86 plymouth reliant, it proabaly ran 20's, then i got my cavalier, it probably runs 17's, i think its fast, compared to my old car, im sure most of in here think 14's is pretty damn quick, but jason doesnt, like i said, its an opinion

If it runs 13.9 or lower it is fast in my opinion. 14-15.8 is quick. that is just me though.

dude running 11s or 12s is like being god almost that what stock vipers and vets run personaly 15's decent 14's quick 13's is like wow stock LS1 11's and 12's once you get there your pretty much done cause your car is so fast you cant do anything else to it.

I thought my Cavalier was fast today because I made a 3 hour drive, well suposed to be a 3 hour drive, in 1 hour and 45 minutes and a few seconds. It was neat. I was hauling balls....actually hauling deer meat and cow beef. My friend wanted some so I sold him some.

Im just messing. You already knew that though. And I really appreciated the help too. But it still don't work :( I think those crappy connectors aren't doing what they are sposed to be doing. Anyway, I was doing some researcharoo. I came across a Cavy with a 2.3 HO swap that was running 12's turbod.. That is pretty fast. 2.3 HO is a NEAT motor.

what r u talking about..? have u been to the track? 10's is fast, the 3.8 supercharged grand prix run 13's (with mods) a 4 dr with a v6.. running 13's.. ya thats FAST! and stock a monte with the same motor ran 14's, there are street drivin cars goin 10's

and when you converte a car to rwd from fwd its not really a cavalier naymore, becuase you most likely used a cut frame from a alredy rwd car

Dude first im surprised people are still posting here this thread was started weeks ago. Second yes 10's is fast but when i started this thread it was suppose to be for the people that have dd and are on street tires. So when you think about that way its almost impossible to have a 10 second car.
