Engine Question - 99 GASE 3.4L - Misfire?

Before I get started on the actual topic, I seem to have found a starting problem thats growing worse maybe as I go on.. Sometimes I can turn the ignition and nothing... it'll try, but my work around it is giving it a little gas... Seems to work. Idle is 600/650/700(If the AC is on), Anywho...

Today in the parking lot before I headed on home, started the car and noticed something as I started to pull out and drive... It felt as if the car was wobbly from the engine and was going to die out... I set it in park and rev'd the engine a little and the problem went away...

Tell me your input...

All these little problems I've been having are starting to get on my last nerve... from the mysterious vanishing coolant, to the driver's side window not wanting to come up all the way in one single pass :banghead: grrr

As for the vanishing coolant keep an eye on the oil because if you have an internal leak it could cause you major problems. The intake manifold gaskets are usually the culprit. The oil will gradually look like chocolate milk. This could also be causing your idle problem although you may want to clean the IAC motor on the throttle body. If however you have water in the oil it can send steam back through the emission control system and cause the car to run rough and not want to idle.

This description, in a nutshell... could lead to my whole problem of my car. My change oil light has been on but i've ignored and figured that it wasnt reset the last time.. which was sometime in aug.

I just called my local service and they said, 'maybe, bring it in' and so I am off to do so.

Edit--
I am back, no chocolately milk oil ... IAC could be a problem, ill have it replaced soon enough... The guy's suggestion was to go buy some fluid at like advanced auto parts.. that I could use to seal up cracks in the coolant lines... forgot already what it was called :banghead: but he said it'd cost me $3 or so... He said it was pretty much a liquid that has lead inside.. that'd melt and seal the problems.

It will seal the leaks but you need to know it can also clog the radiator as well as small passageways in the cooling system. Be careful!

If your intake is leaking, the alumaseal will not help, you need to change the gasket or you're wasting your time and money. The intake can also leak cooant into the combustion chamber, which will cause a miss in that cylinder and no "chocolate milk" oil. If your check engine light is on, take it to Advance/Auto Zone and have them scan it for free. If you come up with a Cylinder 3 misfire, your intake gasket is leaking, as the problem spot in the gasket is between the intake port for cylinder 3 and coolant passage across the back of the intake.

eh gah :eek7:

So many choices and options to fix. :uhoh:

Should I just wait and take it to be serviced and let them handle it, that way if nothing is fixed I have the warranty? I feel that doing it myself with the bar stop, could just lead to more problems. Overheating, Clogging, Leak not being fixed but now I have bits of metal in my coolant :headshake
