on my 03 cavalier, the whole intake tube is oval and i cant seem to find a cone filter that seems to fit the oval shape of the intake tube. My headlights are also horrible and i was thinking about getting a H.I.D. kit from hidynamic.com or just some bulbs, if anyone could recommend either a filter or information about bulbs/HID kits, please lemme know.

I know that you can get a 3" filter to slam onto that sucker. I tried a injen filter as well as an iceman filter on my 04 but it just wouldnt work. Got to a 3" aem and with a little love it went on the stock intake box that goes right from the throttle body. I ended up not using everything from just past the first air box inlet pipe back to the stock air box.
Ill look around and try and find a pic of the ecotec "ghetto" intake.

yea, i tried an aem filter and it didnt fit. i tried to fit it right after the mass airflow sensor, just before it starts to curve around the engine, towards the driver, i guess cuz that is where the tube looked roundest. tried to go for the w.a.i. aspect. i looked at ur cardomain and i loved ur clear corner lights. i was wondering how u did those, they look awesome. it would complete my h.i.d. kit if i get one. im thinking about smoking out my taillights, pretty easy procedure but the clear black spraypaint is pretty pricy.

Check and make sure the filter has at least a 3" outlet hole. If it is indeed 3" like I said it takes a little love and in some cases a flat head screw driver and a helper but it will go on trust me....it was my first ghetto intake setup  You are putting it right where I did as well. :bigthumb:
As for the clear corners I did a write up in another thread let me do a quick look and Ill link you to it. I will just edit it into this post so if you check back and its not here it will be sooner or later.
Edit: Hell with linking. Here is my quoted reply. Have good moshpitting...
Well, I dont know how they do it on the earlier models but for the newer models that have the one piece headlights you place the headlight one at a time in the oven at 350 for about 15 minutes. Then after it has been heated enough you take it out and with alot of patients take a flat head screw driver and gently peel back the face of the light. You can do it by yourself but it is 10 times easier to do it with a partner as you are not only trying to break they seal of all that damn silicone but got damn that headlight is hot as hell.
If you can get the seal at least spred open you can run a razer blade along the seal to break through the silicone. Chances are you are going to break a few of the outer clips but thats ok because once you do what ever you are going to do to mod your headlights you can do like me and RTV the living piss out of the lights when you put them back together.
Some people make it sound hard to do this and for all I know this didnt sound all that easy but once you get rolling on this common sense kicks in and its smooth sailing.
