help changing fuel pump

Is there anyone who can give me information on changing the fuel pump on a 2000 alero? what is the best way to do this, can I go in under the back seat or do i have to drop the whole gas tank?

How many miles are on your Alero and what size engine?

Sorry to say but you have to drop the whole fuel tank in order to gain access to the fuel pump.

I wish all you had to do is take out the back seat. Droping the take is not real hard. make sure you wear glasses b/c of any dirt falling and any fuel that could spray out. just take your time, do it right the first time and try to do this when there is not to much fuel in the take so it will be easer to drop.
