i had an earlier question about a rattleing noise fro under car. well finally today i had some time to jack the 98 aurora up and look under it to investigate some . and from what i can tell the rattleing noise is coming inside from inside the transmission. it has been leaking tranny fluid for a short time now. can't pin point where the leak is coming from. but it drips from right around the left front tire. the car shifts and runs fine. i know i should be concerned but to what degree. it runs fine. and shifts fine. the rattleing is only heard when car is idleing. as soon as i give it some throttle even in neutral it goes away. any suggestions???? the car has 125,000 miles on it. help out guys please alittle advise. thank-you.

sound like the pump or the torque converter.. Sometimes the internal fins come lose in the converter, does it ever hesitate to go into gear(SLOW)

You sure it is not the catylytic conv. Drive chain and bearing in the trans another possibilty. Get someone familiar with these transmissions to listen to it.
