89 limited leaking sunroof

My sunroof leaks and the parts go for around $200. One part is called the inner gasket and the other is called the flange. Isn't there some type of sealant I can use instead?

there is a sealant called urethane in a caulking tube, that is what is used on windshields. You can buy it at autobody supply stores or glass shop may sell you a tube.
