Need help on this

How do I remove my car key from my passenger door without breaking the key? Can anyone give me any suggestions. It's stuck in there, it won't move left or right. I am trying to remove the door panel (not easy cuz I can't open the door.) how do I remove the door handle, to remove the panel? I'm getting to the boiling point. It's the only key I have and I can't afford a locksmith. Can enyone help me out there? I should never have locked my truck doors. No one is going to break into my '87 Nissan.
