Which engine swaps are usually done in an MR2?

Is it possible to swap in a supra engine?

if you have a 5SFE enginen n/a, 99 percent of swaps are to a 3SGTE

no the inline 6 of supras won;t fit in a mr2, but you can put in a IMZ-FE v6 engine in, but it needs more work and fabrication

a nice JDM 3SGTE would be the best idea (Which is what I'm planning). Check out the link in my sig for a good place to buy them. I'd buy the whole rear clip so you don't have to worry about not having somthing you need and have to go searching for it.

i think the best way to go for and MR2 engine swap is a 3SGTE!!!!!!!!!!

I have this mazda 323 with a 1.8 turbo engine which evreything is pretty much junk except the engine which is in great condition. There is this guy who is getting rid of his 91 mr2. The engine is the base NA version but was compeletly trashed from the previous owner. I need to know what I can do in order to transfer that mazda engine into the mr2. Is this going to be a very difficult swap?
