Well my car is finally starting to get back together. I ordered a new top for it on e-bay. This one is black, got it for $350 shipped and it's brand new. The 16g turbo i got on it is awesome. Lag is a bit worse, but it's well worth it IMO. The new transmission and clutch are doing great. This winter, my car is finally getting painted (hopefully). After Oct. 31st, my car will be sitting in my garage all winter getting worked on. The only thing that is really getting on my nerves is a rattle coming from somewhere in the engine bay. It's been rattling FOREVER. Even when i had my motor out, i searched for anything that could be possibly making a rattle. Tighted quite a few things, and to this day, it still rattles! I don't know WTF it is! It only rattles sometimes. Usually at idle, or when someone closes a door. Other than that, everything is good. I'll keep everyone updated on the beast.

I wouldn't worry.

While the car is running, unplug each spark plug wire 1 at a time. As long as the sound doesn't go away, you should be fine.

You might wanna look at your intercooler pipes (mihgt be hitting the frame) Your cruze control shit i broke mine at the track some how???? that thing made alot of noise the whole way back from the track. Also you might want to make sure all of your Exhaust hangers are on.

well my new top finally comes in tomorrow. hopefully before i go to work. i'm kind of anxious to see it in person. i decided that this winter, not only am i going to try and get a new paint job, but i'm going to be doing a lot of motor work. i plan on ripping the head off, replacing valve stems, clean it up, replace timing belt, tensioner, water pump, new pulleys and belts, new alternator (since mine is on its way out), and i'm thinking about eliminating balance shafts (not sure though). i'll keep you guys updated, and i'll post again tomorrow about the top.
