A friend on another board recommended this site cos i want to learn more generally about cars. I'm not an idiot but just have no experience!
I'm also interested in bikes and have just been to the Peterborough Bike festival in the UK with a mate and had a wicked time!!!
(hope liking bikes doesn't make me any enemies here but i assume that if you like cars, you generally like bikes too!)

Are there any general engine schematics that i can look at so that i can understand those fiddly bit better?!:rolleyes:

You could try the “Cars in General” section as well as the forums of the cars you are interested in as each one will have threads that may be of help to you.

Like Spec2 said, try "Cars in General" or go into specific forums to look at things in more depth. Again, welcome, and I hope you stick around for a while! :flash:

we have a forum for nearly every car you can think of, and then some! so be sure to have a good look around.
most of the action happens in the off-topic boards, honda/acura off-topic (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/f1061/) and COMPLETELY off-topic (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/f664/).
make a thread in one of the off-topic forums and i think you might be surprised by how many people like bikes on here.
