99 Code P1362 & P1298?

99 civic EX and it wont pass smog check, the engine light is on and the codes are P1362 and P1298 any Idea what the codes mean?

A mechanic is telling me that code 1362 is the distributor and that just the part cost $250 used. is he trying to get more money out of me also, He is not sure if that will make the smog test pass. He said he is hoping that will take care of code 1298 by just changing the distributor. Can i get that part cheaper on my own?
