Fuse box layout

Is there a diagram somewhere on my 98 3800 SE that tells me which fuse is which in the fuse box ?? Ive looked all over and cant find one. I bought the car used and it didnt come with an owners manual. I have to resort to the electrical circuit diagrams in my Haynes manual and a multimeter to try and find which fuse is which.

Its odd because on most cars ive dealt with, its written on a panel near to the fuse box.

Thanks

-Steve

It should be on the back of the panel you remove to get to it.

the only panel i take out is after i open the glove box, there is this grey plastic box (looks like a kleenex holder) which has a fuse puller on it, but no sticker or anything. If that is where it SHOULD be, can a new fuse sticker be bought at the dealer ?

hmm, good question, I'll check the gm computer and get right back with you.

I went and checked my 99 to be sure I wasn't wrong on it's location, but it is on the side of the "kleenex holder" (nice term by the way) as you called it, and your 98's part number is 10405682 for that sticker. I'm not sure if it's still available or not.

How soon do you need the info on the fuse layout?

If my buddy Rich says it OK I'll send you via PM email the illustrations right out of the GP service manual in PDF file format which covers 97 - 99 Grand Prixs.

Go for it Bob, I'm not on here to sell parts, I'm here to help people. If I can save people money by selling them parts great. If you can get the info for free for them, even better.

whoa thanks man, my email address is in my profile

there is no rush however, i installed a cd changer a couple of months ago and the longest part for me was trying to find the radio fuse to tap into. I was just browsing the forums, saw alot of talk about blown fuses and it reminded me of that.

No problem Steve. I know Rich doesn't mind. I was just pulling his leg. lol. :lol2:

I'll need your regular email address so if you send me a PM with it, I'll use regular Outlook instead of AF and send the pdf file as an attachment.
