Rear Glass Studs 98+

My Rodeo spent the first five plus years of it's life in the Cleveland area. This is why everything underneath is really rusty. Amazingly, the top side is nice and shiny.
The studs that go through the back glass are also rusted both inside and outside. The struts that hold the glass up are also rusty but they work OK. I would like to replace the studs.
The inside part is hexagonal but there is nothing on the outside to hang onto. I don't want to break the glass trying to get it apart since I understand it is very expensive to replace.
Anybody have any suggestions?
