need help replacing celing light

the light in the celing of the car is out. you know, its the one that comes on when you open the door or whatever...this things been out for a while now and i have no clue how to get to the actual light out to replace it. ive bought a repair manual, and it doesnt have anything on the subject for interal lights. any info would be greatly appreciated.
