What would be thee advantage to being able to turn the Tranction Control on/off?

turning off TC or VDC is necessary if these controls have a tendency to activate quicker than you want them to and impead your progress. This is a problem with BMW's DSC. It comes on too soon and if you're on the track it kicks in and slows you down.
