Will not start 2000 S-10 p/u

I have a 2000 Chevy S-10 P/U 2.2L that quite on saturday and will not start it doesn't even crack(no action when it turn to start) I checked all the connections to the battery charged it for 3 hours... nothing. I also noticed that the gauges go to zero( Battery says 9volts fuel goes to Empty temp reads right) when the truck is turn to run but will go up to where they are supposed to be when the key is off and out after like 2 mins of waiting. I know the battery was charging because my trickle charger went from 4 to 2amps almost right away so i don't feel it is the battery because everything else works.

Lot a guess work here, will it start with a jump, have you actually tested the battery is it up to 12.5, do you have know good grounds and pos connections?

is it aftermarket batt? other people have said that they needed to put a washer between the posts and cables. personally i wish there was more room to top mount the battery cables, it'd save so much time

wont crank? 2.2l? head gasket went bad, hydro locked the moter, could be wrong, but see it all the time

My S-10 Starts now it blew a 40amp fuse but now the ABS is on i did notice that the brakes are really touchy (before this happened)
