supercarengineering.com sells Getrag bearing kits, 1st & 2nd synchro rebuild kits, full synchro rebuild kites, and much much more

those rebuild kits from what I understood, are for the TT/AWD (W5----) transmissions, they're not for the f5m33 FWD transmission, is this correct?

as i understand it, YES, they're for the AWD tranny. however, if you were to contact supercarengineering.com, i'm sure you'd find that the parts, for the most part (haha no pun), are interchangeable. worth a try. why not find out for sure?!

true... I did a little readin.. and the internals seem the same... cept the shafts, I b/l the TT's have the 25 spline shafts

but the shafts aren't internal to the trans. only conditional on the differential. otherwise, i guess from your research, all internals are the same? cool cool!

from what I've read... I haven't gone and physically inspected anything, but everything seems straight...
except the 5 to 6 speed... you can't really put the 6 speed parts in a 5 speed transmission... and the gear ratios are different...

really? because every time i read about it everybody says synchro's.

its sorta like when someone who has a bmx or mountain bike says "my tire is flat"
but its actually the intertube not the tire

and sorry about the wrong site i posted http://www.kormextrans.com/

midget fixed it for me

THe FWD and AWD internals are completly different. Last time I checked FWD parts are available from any mitsu dealership.

3si.org has a FAQ on ordering parts for the AWD transmission and where to get the three rings (inner/outer/blocking) for the 1-2 syncro rings. Their is also a muti page post in the AWD modifications forum discussing parts and repairs to the AWD trans.

Like I said, I hadn't done much reading at the time, and definitely hadn't pulled everything out myself... but it seems as though you are correct... I talked to some places selling the parts... and the AWD internals, will NOT fit into the FWD... there were a few people I talked to who wanted to argue opposite... but when I asked them how the knew... they got quiet... so they didn't really have any experience, like they had previously said... just speculation
