What the FUCK? Okay so those retards at Universal pictures think they have this drift shit all figured out. I'm sure all you dudes are well informed by the Initial D awanabe movie TFTF 3 right? Well the movie is gonna be called Tokyo Drift... homo's. So now we get to listen to little shit heads trying to buy up all the 7's, 240's, and 86's so that they can do 100mph drifts like they saw in the movie and wrap their cars around lights posts all night long. The gayest part about the movie is that NONE of the orig. cast will be in. Just as well I don't think any of them wanted to waste their time with this b.s. I gotta go cause I am hungry and angery, but I'll be back to bag on the first two movies later, the flaws are horrific.
Peace guys.
Peace guys.

The only good part is that these car wasting losers will get what comes to them, to bad they'll do it in nice cars. But honestly, D1 in the states and Drifting.com made all the ricers pick up 240s, this movie will make it happen faster, but isn't the initial cause.

No Vin no Paul. Chuki I have been gone for the past 4 weeks, I'm a little out of the loop. Give me a break or there will be no soup for you. But yea, at first I liked the TFTF series, but then I started to notice all the editing errors:
1. Before the civic flies under the trailer, the trailer has 3 axle, the stunt trailer blatantly has 1 once the civic is under.
2. Civics don't use sr20's (remember the dip shit who gets doused w/ oil?)
3. All of the front profile drag race sceens that are shot at Race wars (RX-7 vs. 240...VW vs. s2000...) where all shot in the cockpit or a 5th gen civic.
4. When the very sexy Michelle Rodriguez lines up with the white seven, she is sitting in stock s14 seats, next shot single peice race seat (or vice versa) next shot, civic int.
5. When it shows the C.G breakdown of the motor for Dom's RX-7 it shows pistons.
6. In the final race sceene where those monkeys destroy that sexy Charger they have the rear quarter window up on the side shot, and 3/4 of the way down on the front shot.
There is so much for that I dont feel like listing. Your probably thinking that I am obsessed w/ detail... I am.

Yeah, when Leti rolls the black Civic off the road, she hits some BUSHES and that lifts her car up off the ground... Ok, find a better way to hide a ramp next time.
And then when the glass shatters out, it exposes a nice full roll cage, with no interior.
Did you notice the Black Civics in the final heist kept rotating wings from car to car... Dom would be driving a Wingless Civic, then one with a Terminator Wing... Then Wingless again.
I hate Shit like that... It shows that the movie wasn't taken serious, even by the producers, and it was just a lucrative venture. Oh well, that's show business.

It really is a shame, they payed soo much attention to the wow affect, and not enough to the details. They say in the extras how they are portraying the sub_culture of street racing. Bull shit. How many real racers, or car fanatics so you think they showed that shit too before the final edit. Some old geezers who drive bentleys, and who only know how to change thier oil went "cool movie, cha-ching."
I never noticed the wing-thing, good eye bro. The only cool thing about the movie was the Supra, RX-7 (what else would you expect from veilside) the 69/70 Charger (it had "mutt" parts) and even the Clipse, the clean black civic, and Michelle Rodriguez. Some cool C.G and cinemantography, and not too mention a half-bad story. The thing that burried the movies was the shitty editing, the increase in Autozone trash on the street, and the fact that people think roof scoops can fit on every thing (saw a 04 corolla w/ one). The Eclispe pulled it off beautifully, they mounted it right up the the wind shield like mid engine cars do.

Well if you are a producer, are you gonna spend 2k extra to get a blower/ supercharger, or have a fake? I loved that car and fake blower or not at the end of the day its still a charger. The blower was gay anyhow, too out played.
I am upset about it's destruction because that car was a bench mark in muscle car history. An icon, along with many others, in what muscle used to be. But this ,once again, is the movie industry.
I cannot express how much I love classic cars. I guess you have to own a few, build one, or at least take a cruise in one to get addicted.
The companies took so much pride in those cars. They pretty much changed the body completely every 2-3 years (Nova [ventura], Mustang and Impala [catalina] excluded). They changed the grill, trim, lights every season. They offered everything but the kitchen sink from the showroom. You could get a car grannied out with a bench seat, landau top, etc, and then have a bad ass motor under the hood. Then 1974 hit and conservation and downsizing struck and the muscle car went bye-bye.
But yes those movies are worthless, entertaining, insulting, cleche`, superficial, money makers... and I am well aware that all of our shit throwing towards this movie wont make a difference in the world, cause they just don't give a damn what the real people think. They want the blind audiance that is easily mezmerized by shiney stuff, and will drool when you ring a bell.
The movies that get made about the real car culter end up in some "special interest" bin, or on speed chanel.

you seem to be going against main points in the movie man. the whole reason they used a charger was BECAUSE it was an icon. it was not only very important to diesel's character, but when he decided he was "gonna go on green" everybody knew something was gonna happen and it was something serious and climactic. diesel's character thought it was the time to push this car to its limits which he had never wanted to do till then cause he was "afraid of it".. to me, it was one of the 2 main cars in the movie, and if you disagree then you probably haven't seen the whole movie. not a personal attack but you're pointing out all the main themes in the movie for the wrong reasons. do you get what i'm sayin??

We are on two different pages my friend. I completely understand your p.o.v. The part that I am harping about, again is the trashed car. Remember in Gone in 60 when they smash that 67'? Rumor has is that that car was a fiberglass dupe. Why couldn't they have done the same for the Charger. With all the skill that they had on staff, they could have easily built a body around that roll cage, then added reproduction quarters, door skins, hood, trunk, roof skin, fenders and misc body parts. But again I have to look at it from the producers perspective (the guy in the Ferrari) and examine the most time and cost effective approach, ultimately being the real charger. I read that they felt kinda shitty about it, the didn't scrap it right away, it sat in some studio lot for a few weeks before it vanished. Anyways we veered way off subject as we always do, and that's what makes this fun by the way.
And to all of you I hope you never take anything that goes on here personally, if I get aggressive it's not meant as an attack or anything. But I emagine that none of you are nancys like that anyways so I guess that all goes without saying.
lates.
I'll look for that movie Zed.

geez, listen to me.. i'm defending the fast and the furious
you seem to be going against main points in the movie man. the whole reason they used a charger was BECAUSE it was an icon. it was not only very important to diesel's character, but when he decided he was "gonna go on green" everybody knew something was gonna happen and it was something serious and climactic. diesel's character thought it was the time to push this car to its limits which he had never wanted to do till then cause he was "afraid of it".. to me, it was one of the 2 main cars in the movie, and if you disagree then you probably haven't seen the whole movie. not a personal attack but you're pointing out all the main themes in the movie for the wrong reasons. do you get what i'm sayin??
geez, listen to me.. i'm defending the fast and the furious
But I emagine that none of you are nancys like that anyways so I guess that all goes without saying.
lates.
I'll look for that movie Zed.

hat guy was a serious tool. How did he do that... wtf went wrong, I mean what a retard, he's lucky he didn't get his ass kicked. Even though it was a chicks car, I know plenty that woulda cleaned his clock.

Only great thing about those movies is that afterwards there's an insurgence of "yeah me tooos!" and buy cars to race and be cool.
How is that good? Well, from a logical stand point it. It's not. But from a (and I hate saying this) street racer's point of view it's like target practice.
Get all the little kids thinking they're hot shit and will race anything that bites. It's a good time to practice your launch control, or test out that new gizmo you swapped in. Or just to have a game with yourself, how many car lengths do you give the poor bastard before you take off???
Downside to those movies is all the added attention it brings from local law enforcement. I usually keep a low profile for a few weeks after those movies.

2nd time seeing that MR2 video and I'm still like
It just eludes my mind how someone can possibly suck so bad at driving that they can't even keep a simple burnout straight, and THEN hop a curve, 10 ft of grass, and one of those parking lot stopper thinggies.
Seriously, young white kids + "fast" car = :uhoh:

Not only did he wreck, but he went up a curb, UP A HILL, over another curb, and into a lot stoppie. He doesn't even desearve to use the escilator.

The video was funny, you have to admit. when they crashed the car and it fell into a construction site, I knew I was watching something special
"you should work at circuit city or something man" "Uhh I have this thing uhh" "Stupid Ricer?" "Yeah that shit"
Hmm, in the MR2 video, looks like he was airborne and could't see any obstacles, so it's amazing he didn't hit the pole or the type-r, like they said. Maybe he was smoking something? Anything is possible but from what I can tell as soon as he turned it was like, you have two seconds to brake then you're screwed. :2cents:
