Hi all I got a problem with my electrics, my rear lights, dipped front lights, dashboard instrument panel lights, and front fog lights sometimes do not work but when one of the above works they all do. Much appreciate any Ideas.

Since they are all on different circuits it must be something general like a defective connection on the battery or a bad ground. Try cleaning your battery terminals both positive and negative and clean the 100 amp rated fuse in the engine compartment. Take the fuses out for the lights you are having problems with and clean the connections, then plug them back in. Remove the ground wires on the alternator bracket and sand paper the surfaces, then tighten back down. The ground is the only thing these circuits have in common so be looking for problems of this nature.

Checked near enough every lead and earth on the bloody car ! It turned out to be the main switch for the lights tap it on the end where you switch the lights on/off and hey presto everything works again! Its always near enough the simplist thing you would would least expect.

Glad you found it. You're right. It's usually something simple and that's what you should check first. All the best.
