I need instructions for keyless programming for a 2005 sonaata. I tried to access Hyundaiusa.com and could not get into the parts section. We located the box, but there is no On/Off button. Can anyone help?

You can use the wire thats there attached to the etacs which is taped up or hanging down just uplug it, its metal with a clear plastic over it. If you have any trouble or questions ask.
Programming a new remote:
1.Plug a programming valet switch (p/n 00243-16130) into the white and black wires. If you don't have a valet switch, just tap the black and white wires together to count as a "flick".
2.Turn on the ignition and flick the programming switch on/off 13 times.
3.Press button 1 on the remote.
4.Turn off the ignition. Press button 1. If the doors lock/unlock continue to step 5. If not, repeat steps 2-4.
5.Turn on the ignition and flick the programming switch on/off 14 times.
6.Press button 2 on the remote.
7.Turn off the ignition. Press button 1. The driver's door should unlock (if it locked, press button 1 again to unlock). Then press button 2. All other doors should unlock. If not, repeat steps 5-7.
Remove the programming switch and leave the white and black wires disconnected.

Did you find an answer to your question? I have a 2004 sonata and have the same problem. There are no black/white wires anywhere that I am aware of. Can you please pass on any information that helped you?

Did your register for webtech? If not its free, so sign up and check out the article and pics and save a lot of cash. When I attempted to do this I was confused and took off the pannel by the foot rest on the drivers side but then I really concentrated really hard and figured out that I was looking at the wrong place and the correct place is under the dash so I layed on my back and looked under the steering wheel by where the steering wheel column goes and you can see the box that controls the doors and the two wires that you need to tap together are there too and mine seemed to have been taped up there with electrical tape but from the heat they were hanging.
