Who smokes the weed????

Ok, who smokes pot.
I used to smoke on a fairly regular basis.
Then my job started Drug testing so I quit, it wasnt a big deal. I just up and quit. It has been 11 months now since I have.

I just have this theory that 80% of people (in the usa anyway) smoke pot.:smoker2:

Never touched the stuff.

Me neither...something about the act of smoking ANYTHING completely repulses me...I'd be more likely to stick a needle in my arm. But I haven't done that either. Haven't been drunk, or anything else either.

Smoking weed just doesn’t interest me. I can think of heaps of things that I’d rather spend my money on than that. My car for instance. :D

yea, I tell ya I feel allot better about myself since I quit. I also quit smoking cigs about the same time. I feel much better.

I can't say that I don't have my ways of "relaxing" and kicking back, but I can say that I don't smoke, anything.

I've seen enough documentaries of where most of the weed comes from, and it's rather quite grotesque. And as Spec2 said: I have better things I could be spending all that money on...

My boyfriend quit smoking the day we started going out...I won't be around smoking and was with him about 16 hrs a day since we worked together. Basically he never had a chance to smoke, and now he's glad he quit.

...every so often... It can be rather nice sometimes, but in general, I find it so subtle its not worth the trouble. And smoking too much of it makes me feel soooo stupid.. since I've got stupidity to spare normally, I certainly don't care to regularly partake in anything to ameliorate that state of being. 99 times out of 100, I'd rather drink. But, I have found a couple "few and far between" situations ( :right: ) where nothing on this earth feels as good as a little weed.

And as for the money aspect, there are certainly better things to spend it on.. LIKE MY CAR (does anyone at this site spend a penny on anything else :confused: ). And I think I can honestly say that of the.. say maybe 25 times I've smoked up, I've never paid a cent for any of it, thanks to my friends :D (thanks boys :ylsuper )

I smoke like two cigarettes a month, so it is not the smoke I'm against... it is the support of third world drug cartel, the government, and that pot makes ya reeeelly slow in the head.

I love those commercials where the kids talk about their drug purchase "not hurting anyone" by supporting terrorism.

Maybe we're just nerds? They told me in HS that 70% of kids have tried weed while still in HS, and 30% regularly smoke it. I wonder if this is just the demographic of people who spend WAY too much time on the internet?

I've always been around ppl that have smoked it and i've never been forced too smoke it which is pretty cool. These days it seems as though you have to be in the "in crowd" to be cool and smoke it when its offered to you.

I used to smoke a gang of weed back in the day, but that all stopped when I had a panic attack while I was high, hyperventilated, thought I was dying, and ended up in the ER... Since then, I haven't been able to smoke it without thinking I can't breath... kinda takes the fun out of it. But I do have to say that my quality of life has improved significantly since then. I get more done, have more money, have more respectable friends, etc...

I'm not against it at all, it's just not for me anymore.

So now I'm an alcoholic (just kidding).

I think this depends on the crowd you hang out with.

All my friends are well into thier 20s now (hey old man! :finger: ) and I dont think it has ever been cool to smoke weed.
A few used to very occasinaly, but have now stopped, and the Two who do it on a regular basis are now considered very uncool.
They show up less often to gatherings and partys, and when they do show up spend less and less time actualy socialising.
They are slowly making themselves into outcasts.

Iv never touched it my self, maybe been a little light headed from talking to a group of ppl smoking up, but Iv never delibrittly inhaled.

Iv seen enough ppl stoned, and I make enough of a fool out of myself when drunk that I have no desiree to try it. :frog:

I have never and will never try weed. Ive seen it do some really messed up things to others. I dont smoke sigs either, and I dont drink much either.

Some ppl would call me "lame" (forget them :p ) but I am addicted to 2 things:

1. AF
2. My Car :D

And I dont have to feel guilty about either of those addictions. :)

My only drug and vice is Coca~Cola. Until they illegalize it I will keep on drinking it.

i wouldn't mind smoking pot everyday, but in the country im in, it's impossible if not very very very very very very very rare to find any.....

I must be weird. I have tried to smoke it, but it makes me dizzy and I get sick. Kind of like when you've had a little bit too much to drink.:apuke:

I smoke it one or two days outta the week... Only when I go to visit friends, I have never smoked at home (live with parents...) When I do smoke with my friends, we smoke quite a bit... It gets really expensive...

Along with that, weed is the gateway drug, stick with it long enough and you will get offers to try other drugs... thats for sure...

Still, I admit I smoke it, its fun to be completely stoned and out of it for a while, but there is no way I would want to be like that all the time.

Its a good group activity, you smoke, you laugh with friends, you have good memories later... if you remember any of the night :P

Ok bro, here's a little insite for ya. There are three types of people who smoke bud: The Experimental Smoker, The Professional Smoker, and the Stoner. The experimental smoker is your girlfriend, they have smoke mby three or four times a year. This is OK. There is the professional smoker, we smoke alot but get up a 6:30 every morning to go to work before class, we have nice jobs, we do average or above average in school. We operate at 100% and go about our daily lives just like any one else would, accept we are high when we do it. By looking at us, one wouldn't think that we have ever smoked bud. We know that there will come a time when pot won't fit into our lives but that time hasn't come. We know that after we retire we will probly start smoking agian (If our health permits it ). Then there is the stoner. They smoke alot of pot but, unlike the professional smoker, they cannot act normaly. They don't do things because they are high, they do things they normaly wouldn't do because they are high. They are broke because they buy pot and don't make enough money to support the habit ('cause they are high and don't go to work). They will smoke themselves into the ground by not knowing when enough is enough.

just to add on, I dont feel its wrong, but I feel its a bad choice for what it does. I have friends who do, and I feel its their choice, I never will, and if I do I hope someone bashes my head in cuz I wont be needing it obviously at that point, and I dont want to loose reaction to where I kill someone on the road.

All the people I know of who smoke pot are drains on the productive members of society. But I guess every kindom in nature has it's leaches and parasites. I will admit to trying it. Seems to me a total waste of time and money.

Well, I've known many who admit to smoking it on a regular basis through work. Those particular workers always complained the loudest about doing their jobs. This is an observation I have made and may not hold true for all. Normally the boss would come to me to finish the jobs the pot smokers left. When the layoffs came the unproductive pot smokers were gladly escorted to the door. They were in fact a drain on the company I worked for and management knew it. I apologize, I oversimplified with my previous statement. I don't know all the people who do drugs, so I cannot say. But I will say those who I've known to do drugs are not assets to my community. I also work full time and go to school so I can be an automotive engineer and probably couldn't do that if I took drugs.

well weed affects people in different ways.. i know couple people that get high alot, goes to school and college high, and get high grades.... but thats them.. they tell me that it calms the nerves and they just remember everything they do... haha most people forget right?? lol

Thats true, not all are like that, i've seen some do well.

Weed is good to some people and not to others, so it really annoys me when ppl who dont like it or havent tried it say ppl who do it are the "drains of society" and shit like that. It also pisses me off when ppl generalise about drugs, everyone reacts differently to them, some may hate them, some may love them. I dont personally notice any huge effects unless i mix it with drink. I know this can be very dangerous, but i never do it to excess, and it always seems to have a really good effect on me, gets the best of both worlds, drink and weed. For the record, i have only ever had 1 pull on a cig, and i have never tried anything harder than weed. I wanna have a good time, but i dont wanna fuck up my life in the process:)

Thats exactly what I was trying to say... don't bag it till you have tried it... I used to bag anyone that did drugs/drank/smoked for like the first 3 years of highschool, then I tried em, and found out they aren't as bad as everyone says...

yeh, exactly, i used to b like that, till i tried it. i dont consider myself to be a drain on any society, i go to one of the top colleges in my country, and am hoping to go to one of the top universities. the drug aint no drain on ppl cept in extreme circumstances, its the ppl themselves. the drugs are a way to enjoy urselves. i aint sayin every1 shud do em, but ALOT of ppl like this shit, so u cant go stereotypin everyone

Yea, I just like it to have fun and relax with friends... I don't like being high all the time, and I hate being high at work...

Its like some people come home from work and relax with a beer or whatever, if I had it all the time, it would be fun to come home and relax after a nice bowl or two...

I have recently had the priviledge of sharing a hospital ward with some really nice,but confused and sick young people.Canabis is practically an epidemic among young New Zealanders,is seen as an issue no more important than driving on expired registration,and is the recreational substance of choice for many.Unfortunately,when consumed in conjunction with alcohol and/or other drugs,canabis regularly turns ordinary people into sick and disfunctional victims of mental illness,often permanently.

It just isn't worth taking the risk.

i smoke it about once a week if that nowadays. i dont mind because i know i can and have had to just completely stop for a while i can g out and have a good night without touching a drug of any kind (including alcohol). i used to drink FAR FAR too much (im only 17) and ive found that weed is both cheaper and easier to have a good time with than drink. in fact is only usually drink about 2 pints of lager a week now when i go out. gone are the days of me lying unconcious in a bush somewhere.:rolleyes:
