Fuse for Number plate light help

My car has just passed its M>O>T but the bloke said that the bulbs needed changing for the number plate. So i have just changed the bulbs but still wont work. According to the manual there isnt a fuse for them lights???????? Can anyone help please?

they are fused but they are fused through another circuit. easiest way to check is to check is to check in the fusebox under the steering wheel, to see which one has blown, don't suppose you have seen if something else isn't working ie like the interior clock. will give you a clue as to which circuit to look. if cant find problem there. i suggest taking one of the numberplate lights out and test the wiring to see if power getting to them.

check the wiring from you rear lights as the reg lights are wired to them it wont be a fuse becuse if it wat ur rear lights wouldnt be working either see if the connection is lose mies a 2000 reg 306 so it might be different
